I grew up in the Lower Mainland of BC and completed my B.Sc. degree at the University of British Columbia. After completing my internship and becoming a Registered Dietitian, I worked in several unique clinical and community positions on the west, east and arctic coasts of Canada. My unrelenting passion for food and cooking led me to complete a Diploma at the Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts in Vancouver and I am now working at HealthLink BC in the area of provincial food policy.
As a blogger, I write from the stance that food is so much more than fuel for your body. I am interested in the cultural and emotional aspects of food and eating and how they impact our eating experience. I believe that the enjoyment of food is a very important part of everyday life. Food should taste good, and as a relatively new working mom, I am always seeking out ideas to make the preparation of delicious and healthy meals easier for families.
