As August comes to an end, I am reflecting on my vacation time and the importance of a routine...
I need to make the effort to consciously schedule time for exercise into my daily routine.
Much of my day is already scheduled – so there’s a natural tendency to not want to add anything. The problem with not consciously squeezing in my exercise is that it becomes easy to skip if I am tired or very busy.
I think it’s important to find what works for your schedule and for your habits. I’ve found that I like to jog in the evenings. The past few weeks have been good. The conditions were ideal - the evenings were usually pleasant. Establishing the discipline in ideal conditions is one thing. Most of us can adhere to a regime for a week or two.
The question is sticking to it for a couple of months and making it a regular activity – I would like to think I am slowly getting there.
