June 21 is National Aboriginal Day.
The HealthyFamilies BC team and myself are excited to celebrate, remember, and learn about the diversity, varied cultures, and exceptional accomplishments of our country’s Aboriginal peoples.
Individuals, communities, and organizations throughout the province are celebrating the traditions, values, and successes of our nation’s Aboriginal peoples throughout the entire week leading up to June 21. This is a great opportunity to learn more about Aboriginal peoples and their many important contributions to our country’s development and continual progress. To add to the fun, First Nations, Métis and Inuit people will showcase their cultures, values, and achievements on this awesome day.
We would like to encourage you to get involved and take some time to celebrate with your families, friends, communities, and organizations. To learn more about how you can participate in cultural celebrations happening near you, check out these resources below.
