Carrot Rewards: a free healthy living app that lets you earn loyalty points for making healthy choices

Imagine if you could be rewarded for making healthy lifestyle changes.

The first national wellness rewards program is here. Carrot Rewards is now available to download free of charge. This app is brought to you in partnership with Social Change Rewards, the B.C. Ministry of Health, the BC Healthy Living Alliance, the Public Health Agency of Canada, along with partners: YMCA Canada, Heart & Stroke Foundation and the Canadian Diabetes Association.

Carrot Rewards will reward you with your choice of loyalty points for participating in specific health promotion activities. You can exchange these points for big rewards!

How does it work?

  1. Download the app to your smart phone from either iTunes or Google play.
  2. Choose your rewards:
    • Aeroplan
    • Scene
    • More Rewards
    • Petro-Points
  3. Improve your knowledge to earn points by completing quizzes on healthy living topics like:
    • Healthy Eating
    • Physical Activity
    • Immunization
    • Alcohol and Substance Use
    • Mental Health

Carrot Rewards is available exclusively to British Columbia residents right now, but will expand to other provinces and territories in the future.

Be one of the first to download Carrot Rewards and begin rewarding yourself in more ways than one for making healthier lifestyle choices.

Thank you for your interest in Carrot Rewards. At this time, development of Carrot Rewards is limited to the download of and completing activities in the app on a smartphone device. However, we do acknowledge that many British Columbians do healthy activities outside the app and will be exploring other opportunities that could expand the scope of activities outside the app with our other partners and/or programs. Keep visiting Healthy Families BC to stay in touch and learn about our upcoming initiatives.
