Physical Activity During Holidays

Happy holidays! I hope that you are able to take a rest from your busy schedule to spend some time with family and friends.

I've been trying to mix in some physical activity with my holiday cheer this year. I have been getting out for walks with family and friends around Abbotsford in the evenings to see some of the Christmas lights up everywhere. Abbotsford looks very festive this time of year! Getting out for a walk is one of the best ways to get in some low impact physical activity - it gets your heart rate up a bit, and is a fantastic stress reliever.

I'm also thinking about lacing up my hockey skates and hitting the rink for a holiday skate. Many recreation centres or community centres hold special family skate nights – a great way to get out and enjoy the season.
