With over 30,000 food items in the average grocery store, it’s a challenge to know which the healthier choices are and how they can fit within your food budget. That's why we developed Shopping Sense to help!
Shopping Sense is an interactive online resource that provides you with useful articles, easy to follow videos and an interactive online "Virtural Tour" of the grocery store. It also has great information and tips on meal planning, healthy grocery shopping and overall food safety.

- Between November 21-December 04, 2013 BC residents can enter for a chance to win 1 of 5 $100 gift cards along with a complementary dietitian-led Group Nutrition Tour at a nearby Save-on-Foods.Try using this guide to help with meal planning. Post it on the fridge so everyone can pitch in.
- Shop the perimeter of the store first, starting with the produce section.
- Make at least ½ your grain choices as whole grain. Look for the word "whole" on the ingredient list.
