Getting Started with a New Diet

I’m only a week or two into this new routine and even though my legs are sore, I feel better. My energy levels are up and I find that I get a double benefit because when I’ve exercised, I don’t want to eat more!

I contacted the experts at Dietitian Services, and they were really helpful. I honestly didn’t think that the dietary advice would be as valuable as I’ve already found it. There are so many myths out there – Should I have the bagel or the bread? I always thought the bagel was the healthier choice...apparently not.

Eating out is a battle all on its it own. I actually have to make a conscious effort to look at the parts of the menu that are better for you. I also need to have smaller portions – I can’t make that double trip to the buffet that I used to. One good thing about making this change – it’s blueberry season where I live. Blueberries are a great choice! Maybe not with that huge scoop of ice-cream though.

Check out whatever produce is fresh in your area – it’s the perfect time to get in those extra fruits and veggies.
