Serves 4

Ingredients:

Andrea's Tortilla Soup:

Soup Ingredients
2 tbsp vegetable oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 green pepper, diced
1 onion, diced
½ - 1 jalapeno, seeds and membrane removed and diced (use less if you don’t want it spicy)
1 chipotle pepper, canned in adobo sauce

I enjoy visiting new cities, meeting people, and discovering cultures, but I'm heartbroken if I have to interrupt my beloved physical activity routine.

A Closer Look at Sugar Alternatives

In recent years, there has been a growing market for so-called 'natural' sugar alternatives like evaporated sugar cane juice, brown rice syrup, honey, stevia and agave nectar.

Sugar alternatives are marketed as being better than sugar because they may be less refined, and contain small amounts of vitamins, minerals and other nutrients. Some may also raise your blood sugar more slowly than granulated table sugar (have a lower glycemic index).

They also tend to be more expensive than sugar - but this isn't part of the marketing. + MORE

Do you find that Hallowe'en and healthy habits don't go together?

My childhood Hallowe'en involved running from house to house filling a pillowcase full of potato chips and candy bars. Luckily lessons on moderation (parent imposed and dentist approved) made my sugary treats last until December!

Hallowe'en (including the weeks leading up to the big night) provide a wonderful opportunity for the whole family, to be active.
