Drinking alcohol can increase your risk of certain diseases and conditions. The more you drink, the more that risk can go up. Find out which diseases men are at risk for from drinking alcohol.


The table below shows how much risk of disease men less than 70 years of age face depending on the average number of standard drinks they have per day. It shows long-term increased/decreased risk for five diseases.

Men 70 years of age or older face similar risk levels from drinking for all the listed illnesses.
