Fact: The opposite is actually true. Alcohol opens up the pores in your skin and allows perspiration to increase, which cools the body and lowers body temperature.

Although you might think you're getting warm when drinking, don't be fooled, the feeling of warmth is not real because your body temperature actually falls when drinking.
