-About Marc -
Marc is a dynamic health & wellness professional as well as a motivationalist. He currently lives in Vancouver, BC with his cup 1/2 full at all times and it is his lifelong vision to fuel positive change and alter lives by providing others with the tools to unleash their potential within.
Marc obtained his BSc. in Kinesiology & Health Science from York University, specializing in health promotion, outdoor & experiential education, exercise physiology, fitness assessment/interpretation, & cardiovascular rehabilitation (2006). Marc then acquired his MSc. in Human Kinetics at UBC where his focus was on health promotion via physical activity and he examined the relationships between health literacy, health knowledge, and physical fitness in adulthood.
Marc is certified by The Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology (CSEP) as a Certified Exercise Physiologist®. His scope of practice allows him to work with, evaluate and treat both asymptomatic and symptomatic populations with medical conditions, functional limitations and disabilities, through the application of exercise and physical activity, for the purpose of improving health and function (CEP).
While finishing up his MSc., Marc was internally selected to work with a team of Canadian Exercise Physiologists to implement a government funded free and interactive tele-health and online physical activity counselling service, The Physical Activity Line (PAL). Marc has been with the PAL team since April 2009 and intends to continue with PAL to assist fellow Canadians in increasing their health through education, positive thought/reinforcement, and physical activity motivation. Marc also owns and operates a Vancouver based health and fitness consulting firm.
In Marc’s free time you can find him on the golf course, fishing, playing tennis, playing hockey, training on the Vancouver shoreline with his private clients, or riding his bike and snowboarding in the “quintessential outdoor playground” formally known as, Whistler BC.
