Setting A Goal

September 30, 2011 by Michael de Jong

I have been focusing my training on preparing for the half marathon in October - Its coming up fast now!

Having a goal to train towards is very helpful but it doesn't need to be for a long distance run.

Your personal goal can range from the commitment to incorporate new types of vegetables into your weekly meal plan to walking on your lunch hour a few times a week.

Having a goal in place works as a great motivator and provides something concrete to work towards. I’m still not at the point where I love jogging. When I’m running down the road, I still feel every stride but it feels good to be working towards something and sticking to it.  I’m seeing some improvement!

I still can’t touch my toes, but I can reach past my knees!
