We have a very safe food system in Canada, with numerous built-in safeguards to help protect us. With Halloween upon us, I’m prepared for the candy that’s about to enter my home.
My kids are at an age when Halloween is important; they’ve had their costumes for a month. I love seeing how excited they get running door to door yelling “trick-or-treat” and then sorting through their loot at the end of the night. I also think there are some easy ways to control the amount of candy that comes in from trick-or-treating so, as a parent and a dietitian, I have little objection.+ MORE
